So I’ve had this idea of where I want them to take Kingdom Hearts 3 for a while so I’m gonna write it out for you guys to give me your thoughts. It has a much darker approach which I don’t think would be too haard for disney to deal with now that they own the Avengers and Star wars… Of course this will have no influence on how the actual game turns out:
Setting: Just imagine some place like the keyblade graveyard where they have to wear their masters armor because the air is thick with the dust of dead blades and lost companions. (Oh and Donald and Goofy are at the castle. They can’t afford to just wander with Sora anymore, but you’d get them in your party sooner or later) Please note that this would just be the setting for the beginning of the game and this particular scene
Jimminy’s Journal Entry
It’s been ten years, and this war with Xehanort and his other selves has lasted four long years. Sora and kairi have both become full fledge keyblade masters and have joined with Riku in the fight for Kingdom Hearts and the X-Blade. Yet Sora is no longer the happy go lucky kid that we once knew. Past experience has changed him. He’s become cold and distant and he’s tired, both physically and emotionally. Last year…we lost the King. He went up alongside Sora to fight Xehanort head on, but our masters were not the only ones who’d gained strength over the years. Riku was busy dealing with Xemnas while the newly found master Kairi dealt with Ansem. They’d just finished their battles when Riku claimed to had felt a heartwrenching sickness and Kairi got a jolt sent through her head…Something was wrong.
They hurried off to find Sora and the king, but what the found was tragic. Xehanort held the now lifeless corpse of the king by his neck, chuckling away with ill intent dancing in his smile. Sora, downed to his knees, was holding the two halfs of oathkeeper. Kairi watched as he desperately tried to marry the two pieces with no avail. Both watched as the charm holding the promises of a thousand lifetimes slowly faded out of existence, then the same with the broken blade. Sora lashed out and the darkness in his heart boiled. Riku could feel it deepen and churning the darkness in himself, his glowing golden eyes showed as proof. Sora transformed. His new heartless form more menacing and murderous than that of the Chernabog. The beasly heartless Sora lunged out for xehanort with a scream that could only be described as the grinding and tearing of a sleeping heart(ventus) and a lost heart(older Sora). The attack was less than a concern for one of true evil. Xehanort, using his free hand, grabbed the beasts head and crushed it like a shell reverting Sora back to normal and knocking him out. He threw his unconscious body to the ground, summoned his keyblade and sent a wave of dark matter slashes toward Sora ripping gashes in his left arm and right leg. Riku stepped in and used giga refleraga to parry back the attacks, giving them enough time to teleport. He looked up one last time at the corpse of his dear friend and king and left the battlefield.
(back to the present)
Kairi: Sora, you’re working yourself too hard fighting heartless and demi-sentients(Some new form of darker beings that can only be brought about when true evil is present in the world) day in and day out. You need to rest!
Riku: She’s right. You keep feeding this darkness and letting it become your drug. It’s not healthy. We can deal with this without you for a while.
Sora: Tch. I don’t want to hear that from you Riku, or wait. Was it “Ansem”?
Riku: I’ve made my mistakes and I’ve corrected them. I can keep my darkness at bay, but you…You’re barely holding on! YOU KEEP GOING AND GOING NOT PUTTING OTHERS INTO CONSIDERATION! WHAT ABOUT VENTUS? JUST HOW LONG DO YOU PLAN ON HOLDING ON TO HIS HEART? IF HE SAW YOU DISHONORING THE KING’S DEATH LIKE THIS HE’D- …..*sighs* Y’know, what happened to the king wasn’t your fault. Even Queen Minnie doesn’t blame you.
Sora: No, it WAS my fault. I was weak and couldn’t do anything to stop him…I even lost Oathkeeper in the process! *slams fist angrily*
Kairi: Sora, it was a silly charm! You have infinitly stronger charms than that. Besides, what’s important is that those promises it held are still in our hearts! They’re not gone because Oathkeeper is gone! You have to stop doing this to yourself! You’re a chosen of light, but I can barely see that dim light of yours now…Even..Even the Kingdom key won’t respond to you anymore!
And blah blah. Then something happens with one of the past Xehanorts and Sora is off to fight them alone using Chaos Ripper(Birth by sleep keyblade used by Terra) and Oblivion. You get to use all of his amazing god like master powers, can go in and out of forms with ease, can summon dream eaters, and etc. It kind of has that Gurren lagann Simon after Kamina’s death thing going on.
SO YEAH BASICALLY EDGY AS ALL HELL SORA
